Big Bend is a wonderful location to visit while in the region. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Chimney Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Sara's Beachcomber Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Chimney Ponds is a great site to visit for more than one day, Sara Coyne Campground is a great site to camp nearby; dry warm beds await       you at Comfort Inn Erie. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Chimney Ponds; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Elk Creek. This is a popular spot for folks from Erie, and why not a little side spree to West Branch Cascade Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Chimney Ponds, for example Long Pond, and you                  have to stop by Presque Isle Bay when you're here. A round of golf at nearby Millcreek Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time; if you come at the right time of year, Walnut Creek offers some brilliant whitewater. During the warm months highs here at Chimney Ponds get into the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's.
