This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Chicola Lake called the Lakeside Trail; Chicola Lake is not far at all from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton. Summertime highs at Chicola Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends       down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Chicola Lake tend to be in the 10's. So many fun things to do at Chicola Lake, so little time. Camelback is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; if you came for an overnight stay Evergreen Lake Camping is a brilliant place to camp. Silver Valley Campsites is a wonderful campground here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lehigh                  River, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BETHLEHEM is a good choice. The Indian Trail is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Chicola Lake, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Pocono Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mount Airy Lodge; in the vicinity of Chicola Lake you stumble on a golf course called Sawmill Golf Course. Chicola Lake is a rather wet place usually with a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
