Do stop by Chicola Lake while you're in this part of Pennsylvania. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mount Airy Lodge is great, and get dripping wet paddling on Lehigh River. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Chicola Lake, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 50's. a hike on the Camelback Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pocono Creek, and there are great places to explore along the Indian Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Chicola Lake a wet location; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
