Do stop by Chicola Lake while you're in this part of Pennsylvania. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mount Airy Lodge is great, and get dripping wet paddling on Lehigh River. This place, Chicola Lake, it just has so much outdoors exciting stuff. If you're dropping by Chicola Lake from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, you won't be the only one. Don't leave Chicola Lake without first going for a hike along the Lakeside Trail, and Silver Valley Campsites is a great local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Chicola Lake, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Chicola Lake Dam in the vicinity of Chicola Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Camelback is reasonably near.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Chicola Lake, you'll
discover Evergreen Lake which is a delightful lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Evergreen Lake Camping is a good place to camp. A round of golf at nearby Sawmill Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time, and Red
Carpet Inn Wind Gap is a fine place to get some rest. Yeah, come here to Chicola Lake for a great time. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BETHLEHEM is a splendid place to spend a night or two; going for
a hike on the Camelback Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pocono Creek, and there are great places to explore along the Indian Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Chicola Lake a wet location; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
