This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Williams Pond is a lake that's near Chestnut Lake, and you can stay the night at Hideaway Lakes Camping. You're most likely addicted to lakes, Beach Lake is one of those nearby; Trail's End Camp is a good campground nearby. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff       to do close to Chestnut Lake. After a long day outdoors The Settlers Inn is a great place to spend a night or two; what would winter be without some skiing at Ski Big Bear. High temperatures at Chestnut Lake through the warm months are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chestnut Lake. The Blooming Grove Trail is a splendid hiking trail near                  Chestnut Lake, and a splendid nearby hotel is The Lodge at Woodloch. You can run the rapids of Delaware River right next door to Chestnut Lake. There's whitewater on Lackawaxen River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; you don’t have to go far from Chestnut Lake to distinguish the water at Bayly Pond Dam. Chestnut Lake regularly gets much rain; all through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
