Head up to Montage Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and the Pinnacle Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Get dripping wet paddling on Meshoppen Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds is a       great place to camp. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lackawanna River, and at Carpenter Pond you can catch a sight of Jeffers Hill. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Lift Inn is a great choice; Elk Mountain is a very popular ski area close by. Carpenter Pond is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is                  so wonderful. Why not camp at Shore Forest Campground since you're here at Carpenter Pond, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GIBSON is a great location to get some rest. All through the summer months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Carpenter Pond. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
