At Lake Carey you can see Mount Airy, and Meshoppen Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clarks Summit, and swamps are out of the ordinary sites and Helman Swamp in the neighborhood of Lake Carey is no exception. Don't forget to take a glorious little journey to Meade Brook, and going for a hike on the Pinnacle Trail       is always a tremendous adventure. A trip to Whippoorwill Hollow is always fun, and if you need a place to stay Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Pittston Knights Inn is a glorious choice. During the long summer days at Lake Carey temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Carey. This lake is so wonderful.                  Not far from Lake Carey, you'll find Mud Pond which is a charming lake; since you're here you can play some golf at Shadowbrook Resort Golf Course.
