The beauty of Lake Carey attracts many people from all around. The top of Mount Airy is easily made out from Lake Carey; do set aside some time for Kern Glen if you're here at Lake Carey. Take a hike on the Pinnacle Trail, and you'll find a pretty lake called Lake Walter. From a rain point of view Lake Carey is a reasonably common place; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January.

| | Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Pittston Knights Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Carey you discover Whippoorwill Hollow which is a fine location to go to; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Shadowbrook Resort Golf Course is close by. Camping at Schaffer's Riverside Campgrnd is always a nice experience, and don't miss out on a splendid swamp; Helman Swamp is right here at Lake Carey.

wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Clarks Summit is a delightful spot to spend a night or two, and Lake Carey Dam is delightful. For the duration of the days of summer here at Lake Carey, high temperatures typically
get into the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Carey dip into the 10's. If you fancy the outdoors,
you'll go for Lake Carey.
If you came to camp Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Tunkhannock is a fine place to do that; get wet paddling on Meshoppen Creek. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Lake Carey is a site with many visitors from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre; some nearby water includes Meade Brook.
