Caledonia Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Caledonia Lake. There's so much to do here at Caledonia Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Colonels Crk Campground is a great place for that; Carroll Valley Resort is a good site to get some rest. The yearly rainfall here at Caledonia Lake is about average; June is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month

A tour to Cold Springs will fill your spirit with wonderful feelings, and going for a hike along the Sandy Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Any time is a great time at Caledonia Lake if you go for the outdoors. Koa Kampground is a pleasant local campground. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Antietam Creek - East Branch; a day on the slopes of Ski Liberty is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Green
Ridge Trail is brilliant fun, and there's always Carbaugh Run Dam to visit in the neighborhood of Caledonia Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Caledonia Golf Club; a great close by hotel is Scottish
Inns & Suites Fayetteville. Have a great hiking adventure along the Lippencot Trail, and Chambersburg Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's whitewater on Conewago Creek - West for all you adrenaline rush seekers;
Catoctin Mountain Park is a great site nearby. The panorama of Huckleberry Hill from Caledonia Lake is charming. At Caledonia Lake you always meet someone from Gettysburg; don't forget to take a splendid little spree to Clear
Run. For the period of the summertime months at Caledonia Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Caledonia Lake during the winter regularly plunge into the 20's.
