If you come at the right time of year, Meshoppen Creek offers some fine whitewater, and if you get bored of Bush Pond you could also pop by nearby Booth Millpond. Bush Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; most of the rain falls through June, and the driest month is January. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Binghamton Front Street, and if you came to camp Shore Forest Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place

| | to stay Holiday Inn BINGHAMTON-DWTN (HAWLEY ST) is a fine choice; playing golf is lots of fun at Montrose Country Club. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Bush Pond. Don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Beebe Creek, and you're sure to run into some great folks from Binghamton here. Summertime highs at Bush Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime brings | |

highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Bush Pond dip into the 10's. Bush Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Slumber Valley Campground is a nice local campground, and Dora
Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bowman Creek.

Elk Mountain
 | 26 miles away 3 PHOTOS Elk is uncrowded and really fun. They seem to make the best out off the conditions weather gives them. Good, long trails(for Pa). I liked the mini park. The ''bigger'' park made the best of the space. I surface lift in the park lets you session as long as you want, and stay in the park. Great for dialing in on my skillz. Couple of the rail and box features are really cool. I will go to Elk a couple times a year.... |
