Burkett Pond is right by the Pinnacle Trail, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Wilkes Barre is a fine place to spend a night or two. Camp Orchard Hill is a wonderful local campground, and skiing at Montage Mountain is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Applewood Golf Course, and this is a popular site for folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre. A typical amount of rain

| | falls here at Burkett Pond; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Burkett Pond, too pleasant to be true. Hiking along the Refuge Trail is tremendous fun, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Genetti Hotel & Conference Center is a nice choice. Slocum Lake near Burkett Pond; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Bowman Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A gorgeous lake like Lake Louise right next door to Burkett Pond is a great place to take a look at, and from Burkett Pond
you obtain a great panorama of Mount Lookout. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River, and going for a hike along the Choke Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural
beauty of this vicinity. Yeah, come here to Burkett Pond for a wonderful time. Burkett Pond is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Highland Camp Ground is a magnificent location to camp nearby. An attention-grabbing
thing to pop by next to Burkett Pond is Frances Slocum Dam; delightful skiing awaits you at Jack Frost. All through the warm days of summer at Burkett Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures
are in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Burkett Pond tend to be in the 10's.
