Here at Burkett Pond there are plenty of people from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, and do take a hike on the Choke Creek Trail. All through the days of summer highs here at Burkett Pond reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Burkett Pond.

that's not all you can do here at Burkett Pond. While you're here at Burkett Pond, you could also stop by picturesque Frances Slocum Lake, and Burkett Pond is right by the Refuge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Montage Mountain
is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and camping at Burkett Pond is great fun, Schaffer's Riverside Campgrnd is a great local campground. Here at Burkett Pond you can catch a glimpse of Mount Lookout, and get dripping wet paddling
on Bowman Creek.
From a precipitation point of view Burkett Pond is a pretty common place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Lackawanna River is so much fun, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pinnacle Trail.
