In Pennsylvania there are many beautiful lakes, Burkett Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Bowman Creek, and if you need a place to stay Ramada Plaza Hotel On-The-Square is a wonderful choice. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Burkett Pond has it all. There's so much to do here at Burkett Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Orchard Hill is a wonderful location for that. Lakes are tremendous;

Burkett Pond is right by the Pinnacle Trail; while you're here you can play some golf at Applewood Golf Course. And that's not all you can do here at Burkett Pond. Hiking along the Choke Creek Trail is splendid fun, and obviously, this is a pleasant region for folks who like lakes, Frances Slocum Lake is a lake in the neighborhood.
A day on the slopes of Montage Mountain is just what you need; you can observe Mount Lookout from Burkett Pond. If you came to camp Highland Camp Ground is a great site to do that, and a fine nearby hotel is Best Western Genetti Hotel
& Convention Center.
At Burkett Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Burkett
Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Burkett Pond you get some brilliant water scenery at Frances Slocum Dam; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Jack Frost is quite near.
