Going for a hike on the Hedgehog Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Browns Pond is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Allegany is a magnificent place to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Browns Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you need a place to stay Best Western Downtown Jamestown is a great choice; nearby you stumble on the Rocky Gap Trail Bike Trail       which is a great hiking trail. Penn Highlands Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby; folks from Warren love to come here. High temperatures at Browns Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's; the overnight is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Browns Pond sink into the 10's. Scranton Hollow is a great location to spend                  some time at; Clarion Hotel Jamestown is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Cockaigne, and enjoy a round of golf at Jackson Valley Golf Club.
