Why not go to Orson Pond Dam since you're here, and why not head up to Mount Tone and strap some skis to your feet. During the months of summer here at Bone Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's; the overnight is a little colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with       highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Bone Pond during the winter usually plunge into the 10's. The annual rain here at Bone Pond is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in close proximity to Bone Pond. A nice place for whitewater paddling close to Bone Pond is Lackawanna River; you get a magnificent vista of Moores Hill from here.                  You could also check out Little Hickory Lake since you're here at Bone Pond; it's close by, and camping at Camp Tioga is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful.
