Pennsylvania has many beautiful lakes and Bolivar Reservoir is one of them. High temperatures at Bolivar Reservoir during the days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bolivar Reservoir are in the 10's. | | at Laurel Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and get drenched paddling on Blacklick Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Chestnut Ridge Golf Club is close by, and Bolivar Reservoir is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Mirror Lake Resort is a great spot to camp nearby.

for a hike along the Brant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; needless to say Freeman Run is a picturesque stream that is worth visiting. While you're here at Bolivar Reservoir you can take a hike along the
East End Trail; good skiing awaits you at Hidden Valley.
Whitewater paddling is glorious on Tubmill Creek, and the top of Bear Rocks is easily observed from Bolivar Reservoir. A large amount of rain falls at Bolivar Reservoir;
of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Stay the night at Forbes Trail Camp, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn At Historic Ligonier.
This lake is so
wonderful. Hiking along the Darr Trail is nice fun, and if you're visiting from Indiana, you won't be the only one. What a site this is for outdoors people.
