In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Schrader Creek; at Black Lake you always meet someone from Sayre. A good place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Black Lake is Towanda Creek - South Branch; Black Pond Dam is a stunning place. The amount of rainfall that falls at Black Lake is close to the national average; during the month of June       you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Riverside Acres Campground, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Fox Hollow Spur. High temperatures at Black Lake throughout the summertime are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Black Lake are in the 10's.                  This lake is so wonderful.
