Paddling on Sugar Creek is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Armenia Mountain Campground. There are plenty of people from Sayre here at Bird Pond; a nice nearby hotel is Burlington Hotel. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Bird Pond while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bird Pond are in the 10's.       Gardner Hill Campground is a great campground here; glide down the rapids of Schrader Creek in a kayak. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area right next door to Bird Pond has to offer. Going for a hike on the Hoagland Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
