The yearly precipitation here at Big Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through September while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Why not camp at Sara's Beachcomber Campground since you're here at Big Pond, and a round of golf at nearby Joseph Martin Golf Club is a splendid way to kill some time. Crystal Point is quite close to Big Pond, and Walnut Creek is a nice whitewater       spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elk Creek. For the period of the long summer days at Big Pond highs are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows at Big Pond during the winter usually drop into the 10's. If you want to take a look at some out of the ordinary stuff,                  take a look at Big Bend; if you came for an overnight stay Lampe Marina Campground is a great location to camp. Big Pond is not far at all from Erie, and why not take a little spree to Mill Creek if you're here. You completely must fancy Big Pond. If you need a spot to stay Avalon Hotel is a fine choice, and at Eire Turning Basin near Big Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. This lake is so wonderful.
