There's so much to do here at Big Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hills Family Campground is a delightful spot for that; golf can be played at Joseph Martin Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Avalon Hotel is a glorious site to spend a night       or two, and if you want to stop by some exciting stuff, stop by Big Bend. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Big Pond, you could stop by Mill Creek. A common amount of rain falls here at Big Pond; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. What a spot this is for outdoors people. People from Erie love to come to Big Pond, and a good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Erie Downtown. Cranberry Pond is a great lake                  in close proximity to Big Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk Creek. High temperatures at Big Pond during the summertime months are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Big Pond fall into the 10's. Drift down the rapids of Walnut Creek in a kayak.
