So many enjoyable things in the neighborhood of Big Pond, definitely tremendous. Lost Run is close to Big Pond and is always a pleasure to visit, and great hiking is available along the Sawmill Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Big Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is July while January is ordinarily the driest month. After a long day outdoors Bedford       Springs Resort is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Throughout the summertime here at Big Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Big Pond fall into the 10's. A glorious close by hotel is Rocky Gap Lodge; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Flintstone Creek.                  This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Carnes Trail. There's so much to do here at Big Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hidden Springs Campground is a delightful location for that. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Pond; Burnt Mills Trail is a pleasant local trail; there's whitewater on Town Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
