If you are in this part of Pennsylvania make sure to pay a visit to Big Boulder Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Split Rock, and going for a hike on the Boulder Field Trail is always a pleasant adventure. There are great places to discover along the Choke Creek Trail, and of course Dilldown Creek flows through this region. Big Boulder Dam is worth a visit since you're here, and a magnificent view of charming Lake Mountain is available.

overnight stay WT Family Camping is a magnificent place to camp. At Big Boulder Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in
the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Big Boulder Lake tend to be in the 10's. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Big Boulder Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Get drenched paddling
on Tunkhannock Creek, and there are plenty of people from East Stroudsburg here.
A great close by hotel is Best Western Inn At Blakeslee Pocono, and Big Boulder is a fine local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave
Big Boulder Lake without first going for a hike along the Refuge Trail; a short visit to Tobyhanna Falls is always worthwhile. Big Boulder Lake is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February.
