A visit to Bernhart Reservoir is always a good idea. Egelman Basin is a great lake near Bernhart Reservoir, and what would winter be without some skiing at Blue Marsh. Through the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Bernhart Reservoir while night lows are typically in the 50's. If the weather is wonderful here at Bernhart Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Horseshoe Trail; whitewater paddling is fine on Brandywine Creek - West Branch. Be careful coming to Bernhart Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home again. Stay the night at Old Dutch Mill Campground; lakes are such serene places, why not check out Antietam Reservoir. for more than one day, Blue Falls Grove Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby, and a round of golf at nearby Pleasant Hill Golf Course is a pleasant way to kill some time.
This lake is so wonderful. The top of Deer Path Hill
is easily seen from Bernhart Reservoir, and the Lenade Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bernhart Reservoir a wet location; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of
the months is February. Bernhart Dam is a stunning site close to Bernhart Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Reading.
If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bernhart Reservoir.
People from Reading love to come to Bernhart Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Bernhart Creek since you're here at Bernhart Reservoir; Econo Lodge Northeast is a fine place to get some rest.
