Beechwood Lake

Any time is a good time at Beechwood Lake if you like the outdoors. People from Sabinsville love to come to Beechwood Lake; there's a forest here called East Beech Woods. A nearby type I-II whitewater stretch is to be found on Pine Creek; the Ansonia to Blackwell section is 6 miles long. If you are an experienced whitewater boater, you should almost certainly try to find a different stretch of whitewater than this stretch of Pine Creek to run. Whitewater rapids
are risky occurrences, so you have to check conditions ahead of going.
When you're here at Beechwood Lake it's always fun to take a look at Leonard Harrison State Park, and if the weather is lovely, you acquire a good view of Beech Hill from Beechwood Lake.
