Beaverdale Reservoir commonly gets a lot of rain; all through July this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is October. Lloydell Dam is a delightful place close to Beaverdale Reservoir, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaverdale Reservoir; Wolf Rocks Trail is a good local trail. All through the summer months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Beaverdale       Reservoir with nighttime lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Beaverdale Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. Blue Knob is a very popular ski area nearby, and you can run the rapids of Clear Shade Creek. This lake is so wonderful. SUPER 8 MOTEL - JOHNSTOWN is a splendid place to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Blue Knob State Park. Some of the water close by flows, like Bottle Run, and don't leave Beaverdale Reservoir without first going for a hike along the John P Saylor Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Beaverdale Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Woodland Park is a wonderful site for that, and there's good hiking along the Lost Turkey Trail.
