Shawnee Mountain is a great place to do that, and you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Marcel Lake. An average amount of rain falls at Beaver Pond; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bald Barren Trail is always a glorious adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Hornbeck's Creek offers some fine       whitewater. So many amusing things to do here at Beaver Pond, too great to be true. What would winter be without some skiing at Tanglwood, and obviously Nichecronk Brook flows through this region. Go for a hike on the Maple Brook Trail; a great close by hotel is RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Raymondskill Creek, and if you need a location to stay Fernwood Hotel and Resort is a glorious choice. Near Beaver Pond                  you find the Flat Ridge Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Long Swamp is right close by. Do go to Woodpecker Lake near Beaver Pond, it's a lovely lake; Dingmans Campground is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, River Beach Campsites is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and Delaware National Scenic River is a very good place to stop at. Summertime highs at Beaver Pond generally tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Beaver Pond are in the 10's. Yeah, come here to Beaver Pond for a fine time.
