Just can't get enough of Beaver Pond. Good hiking is available along the Flat Ridge Trail, and Shawnee Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. Beaver Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at River Beach Campsites if       you're here at Beaver Pond; a magnificent swamp right next door to Beaver Pond is Long Swamp. So many entertaining things to do at Beaver Pond, so little time. Tanglwood is a very popular ski area close by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Pond; Maple Brook Trail is a great local trail, and why not take a little trip to Nichecronk Brook while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Raymondskill Creek, and                  dry warm beds await you at Fernwood Hotel and Resort. There's magnificent hiking along the Bald Barren Trail, and a pleasant site to camp here at Beaver Pond is Dingmans Campground. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hornbeck's Creek, and do explore Woodpecker Lake, it's a charming lake. Visiting Delaware National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and a beautiful lake like Marcel Lake is a magnificent site to visit. At Beaver Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
