     Beaver Lake is a nice lake to visit. Just can't get enough of Beaver Lake. A trip to Delaware National Scenic River is worthwhile. Paddling on Shohola Creek is so much fun, and a nice vista of wonderful Bald Hill is available. For the period of the summertime at Beaver Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; overnight lows at Beaver Lake throughout the winter  
   mostly plunge into the 10's.
Near Beaver Lake you stumble on a golf course called Cricket Hill Golf Club, and don't leave Beaver Lake without first paying a visit to High Falls. A common amount of rain falls here at Beaver Lake; May is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Lake Giles Dam; Beaver Lake is a delightful place to visit for
 
               more than one day, Camp Shohola is a delightful place to camp nearby.
Very striking scenery and great skiing is what you get at Tanglwood, and swamps like Beaver Swamp are fun to check out. Float down the rapids of Lackawaxen River in a kayak, and if you need a location to stay The Lodge at Woodloch is a perfect choice. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Beaver Lake. Camp Watonka is a nice campground nearby, and the Crawford Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Ski Big Bear is one of those things you just must do, and close by you stumble on the Steam Mill Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at The Lodge at Woodloch; going for a hike on the Blooming Grove Trail is always a fine adventure.
