LAKE HERON RETREAT is a beautiful, secluded, primitive campground located on a 10 acre lake in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Our main attraction is our small, secluded area where nature lovers can enjoy nature. We are NOT a typical busy campground! We do not have utility hook-ups or running water. We are primitive. We have one primitive cabin, 3 individual campsites, and one separate area with a pavilion for groups of up to 35 people.

The 10 acre lake is stocked with Largemouth Bass and Channel Catfish. There are also nice Bluegills and Rock Bass. All fishing is catch and release unless you want to buy some of the fish you catch. No fishing license is require.

Swimming is pleasant in the spring feed lake. We have a floating ''swim platform'' from which kids can jump and adults can sunbathe. Canoes, rowboats, and peddleboats are available to rent for your boating pleasure.

There are many hiking trails rated easy to moderate. You are sure to see wildlife in the woods surrounding the lake, including, but not limited to, deer, turkeys, bear, fox, herons and many other ...

Ski Roundtop

Visited here last winter and had a pretty good time.  The 100 acres of terrain was definitely fun to explore and was suitable for any level of skiing. I decided to visit after reading an article about the resort. The place lived up to just about everything i was expecting, so I would definitely recommend it!...
