It's always fun to stop by Bear Lake. Be careful coming to Bear Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. The fine folks of Jamestown-Dunkirk-Fredonia like to hang out nearby, and the Magee Trail offers hiking at its best. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hedgehog Trail, and paddling on Chautauqua Creek is so much fun. A pleasant site to camp here at Bear Lake is Brokenstraw Valley Camping Sites, and Peek N Peak is a pleasant local ski area.

| | This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a delightful lake called Hemlock Lakes near Bear Lake, and golf can be played at Timber Creek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Much precipitation falls at Bear Lake; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is February.
Lakes are such serene sites, why not have a look at Chautauqua Lake near Bear Lake, and a wonderful close by hotel is Chautauqua Suites Meeting and Expo | |

Center. During the long summer days at Bear Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Bear Lake through the winter
frequently sink into the 10's. After a long day outdoors Webbs Year Round Resort is a good place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Camp Chautauqua since you're here at Bear Lake.

Blue water Beach Campground

We love Blue Water Beach. It is predominantly a RV park but, has a couple of cool and secluded campsites. The property sits on the shores of Lake Erie. Many sites have a view of the lake and some sites are lakefront. We graduated from a backpacking tent to a RV (our hard-sided tent, haha)and this was a good place for us. The sites are larger than most parks, and the RVs are NOT lined up in a row, like toothpics. Much of it is wooded and hilly. It's got a great creek running through it and the beach is really nice and private. A good portion of the residents keep their sites year to year. My husband and I love having a little place down by the lake, and we have made some good friends too.
