A lake close by is Trostle Pond; stunning scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Elk Mountain. For the period of the summer at Bassett Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Bassett Pond. This lake is so wonderful. | | Inn Clarks Summit is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. People from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre love to come to Bassett Pond, and you can run the rapids of Spring Brook. Bassett Pond mostly gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through June; the driest month is February. Good hiking is available along the Refuge Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Montage Mountain since you're here. If you adore the outdoors, | |

too magnificent to be true. At Basset Dam in the vicinity of Bassett Pond there are some interesting things to see. A round of golf at nearby Lakeland Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time, and a wonderful site for whitewater
paddling is Lackawanna River. Don't forget to take a pleasant little tour to Kennedy Creek, and you can stay the night at Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds. Go for a hike on the Pinnacle Trail, and Bull Hill is delightful and can be distinguished from here.
