Barnes Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A day on the slopes of Seven Springs is just what you need; a golf course nearby is Carradam Golf Club. You can run the rapids of Jacobs Creek right next door to Barnes Lake; Holiday Inn Express Irwin (Pa Trnpk Exit 7), Pa is a delightful spot to get some rest. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Barnes Lake. Don't forget to take a good little journey

Here at Barnes Lake you'll perhaps meet some folks from Pittsburgh, and there's whitewater on Sewickley Creek for all you thrill seekers. From a rain point of view Barnes Lake is a pretty normal site; May is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Coal Dam is worth a visit since you're
here, and why not head up to Boyce Park and strap some skis to your feet. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Barnes Lake. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Barnes Lake.
