If you came for an overnight stay Lander's River Trips is a great spot to camp, and Ski Big Bear is a great local ski area. Near Barkley Lake you locate a golf course called French Woods Golf & Country Club, and everyone close by loves skiing at Tanglwood. High temperatures       at Barkley Lake all through the long summer days are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Barkley Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area next to Barkley Lake has to offer. The Schiff Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Barkley Lake; Trail's End Camp is a pleasant campground nearby. Not far                  from Barkley Lake, you'll come across Panther Lake which is a picturesque lake, and if you need a location to stay Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Callicoon Creek - East Branch has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Feagles Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Delaware River It's always nice to stop at Darbytown Falls. Barkley Lake in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Some of the water close by flows, like North Branch Calkins Creek; nearby you hit upon the Crawford Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
