At Lake Ariel during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Ariel. Any time is a glorious time at Lake Ariel if you go for the outdoors. Drift down the rapids of Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary       in a kayak; if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Hamlin is a glorious choice. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Ariel; Brown Trail is a tremendous local trail, and the snow is good at Ski Big Bear. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Tanglwood is just what you need, and Caesars Cove Haven is a good location to get some rest. There are other places here than Lake Ariel, for example Brooks Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit                  Wallenpaupack Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Lakeside Trail, and there are plenty of folks from East Stroudsburg here. A glorious location to camp here at Lake Ariel is Lake Moc A Tec Campground; swamps like Tisdale Swamp are fun to go to. Lake Ariel is a good place of typical rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. At Lake Ariel Dam in the vicinity of Lake Ariel there are some interesting things to see, and camping is available at Clayton Park Recreational Area. This location rocks, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the vicinity of Lake Ariel.
