You'll need more than a day to explore everything Acre Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds, and you don’t have to go far from Acre Pond to observe the water at Acre Pond Dam. Be careful coming to Acre Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again.       There's so much to do here at Acre Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shore Forest Campground is a good place for that, and Acre Pond is not the only location nearby, Polk Pond is a nearby lake. A great deal of rainfall falls at Acre Pond; during the month of June you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Clarks Summit, and get yourself into a kayak and                  hit Meshoppen Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Acre Pond, you can go for a hike along the Pinnacle Trail; the vista of gorgeous Morgan Hill is great. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Montage Mountain, and naturally Butler Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out. Glide down the rapids of Lackawanna River in a kayak, and a lake close by is Horton Lake. All through the summertime months here at Acre Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
