What a spot this is for outdoors folks. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn & Suites is a fine choice; in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek. Schumacher Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Santiam Golf Club is a golf course nearby. The warmest       time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Young Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Young Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Young Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Salem, and Oregon Christian Convention is a fine campground nearby.
