If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Coast Ranges. Why not pop by close by East Fork Byron Creek if you're here at Wylie Reservoir; people from Roseburg love to come here. This place, the Coast       Ranges, has so much outdoors amusing things. Soar down the rapids of Umpqua River - South in a kayak, and if you get bored of Wylie Reservoir you could also pop by close by Smith Reservoir. Wylie Reservoir is a reasonably wet place typically with a good deal of rainfall; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is commonly the driest month. On a pretty day you get a panorama of Morgan Hill from Wylie Reservoir, and camping is available at Twin                  Rivers Vacation Park. So much fun stuff to do at Wylie Reservoir, so little time. Good hiking is available along the Grayback Trail, and Sleep Inn , Inn & Suites is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Umpqua Safari Camp Ground and RV is always a tremendous experience; get drenched paddling on Umpqua River. Wylie Reservoir is located in the Coast Ranges. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Wylie Reservoir, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
