Word Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Mountain Lakes Trail is brilliant fun, and there's some flowing water nearby, Hayden Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the South Pass Lake Trail, and a pleasant close by hotel is Golden Eagle Motel. | | River offers some great whitewater, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Mud Spring. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Trask River; do take a hike on the Brown Mountain Trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Word Reservoir; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you came for an overnight stay Bear Canyon Campground is a great site to camp, and after a long day outdoors Lithia Springs Resort And Gardens is a great place to spend a night or two. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs
frequently are in the 70's at Word Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Word Reservoir.
