Lake of the Woods is a lake worth visiting. For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Lake of the Woods. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake of the Woods. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Southern Cascade Range has it all. A great close

locations to discover along the Mountain Lakes Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Klamath River offers some glorious whitewater. Near Lake of the Woods you hit upon the Brown Mountain Trail which is a fine hiking trail,
and Ichabod Spring is a nice local attraction. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Lake of the Woods is so good! Take a side visit to Billie Creek, and you can stay the night at Saddle Campground. While you're here
at Lake of the Woods you must take a look at Rainbow Bay, and the top of Pearce Point is easily observed from Lake of the Woods. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Lake of the Woods gets a normal
amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
