Lake of the Woods ordinarily gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that rains the most; July meanwhile is the driest month. All through the summer months at Lake of the Woods highs are usually in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 50's with temperatures at Lake of       the Woods dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Coast Ranges. If the weather is wonderful here at Lake of the Woods, you can go for a hike along the Lower River Trail. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. If you're visiting Lake of the Woods from Brookings, you won't be the only one, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots                  on Elk River. After a long day outdoors Inn of the Beachcomber is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two; Lucky Lodge is a great local campground. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff right next door to Lake of the Woods will keep you coming back repeatedly. Going for a hike along the Snow Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Secret Camp Recreational Vehicle & Tent Park is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Hazel Camp Trail is brilliant fun, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Frog Lake is just a very short distance away. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful.
