Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Rogue River, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Oregon Caves       Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lippert Reservoir Number Two is a nearby lake that you could visit, and swing by Black Canyon Creek it's a great place to go to. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Wood Reservoir. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Siskiyou Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. A journey to Maple Gulch is always fun; going for a hike along the Kerby Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty                  of this vicinity. During the warm days of summer at Wood Reservoir highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Wood Reservoir are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Pennington Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Wood Reservoir, and there are plenty of folks from Grants Pass here. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Grayback Clapboard Trail, and a lake nearby is FS Reservoir. The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Grants Pass Inn is a fine choice; Grants Pass Golf Club is a good golf course close by. Yeah, come up here to the Siskiyou Mountains for a great time. Lippert Dam Number Two is a wonderful site right next door to Wood Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Wood Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Riverpark RV Resort.
