Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. Do visit Chimney Lake next to Wood Lake, it's a pretty lake; while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Hobo Lake. Wood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. Not much precipitation falls here at Wood Lake; during December this area sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Take a hike on the Copper Creek Trail, and Nez Perce Trailer and RV Park is a wonderful campground nearby. Lake Creek is a pleasant local stream; Wood Lake is right by the North Minam Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bowman Trail, and you can stay the night at Out Post RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. One of the overriding marks of the surroundings                  of Wood Lake is Lookout Mountain, and while you're here at Wood Lake it's a tremendous idea to take a look at Wilson Basin. The warmest time of the year at Wood Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Wood Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Wood Lake.
