Wirth Lake is always a pleasure to visit. You're sure to come across some nice folks from Salem here, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Crabtree Creek. The high level of rainfall makes Wirth Lake a pretty wet spot; the month with most of the rain is December; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Wirth Lake has it all. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Salem (Oregon Capitol), Or is a brilliant site to spend a night or two; golf can be played at Meadowlawn Golf Course. Best Western Mill Creek Inn is a nice place to get some rest, and Wirth Lake is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Oak Park RV Village is a brilliant spot to camp nearby.

stumble on a delightful lake called McDonald Pond near Wirth Lake, and Salem Campgrounds and RV's Holiday Trav-L-Park is a tremendous local campground.
