The beauty of Wirth Lake is reason enough to stop by. The high level of rain makes Wirth Lake a relatively wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Wirth Lake is not far at all from Salem, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crabtree Creek. You believe that's sufficient?
