A great place to camp here at Wineland Lake is Fossil Motel and Trailer Park, and a spree to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Wineland Lake you don’t see much rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. There's good hiking along the Wall Creek Trail, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Long Prairie       Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Near Wineland Lake you discover Wineland Canyon which is a splendid place to go to, and the peak of Wheeler Point can be seen from Wineland Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area near Wineland Lake has to offer. The Knob Trail offers hiking at its best, and Wineland Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy Wolf Resort is a magnificent                  local campground. For the period of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Wineland Lake while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Wineland Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Blue Mountains.
