Windy Lakes gets much water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture. Windy Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. The top of Cowhorn Mountain is easily distinguished from Windy Lakes, and you can have       a nice hiking adventure along the Windy Lakes Trail. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Central Cascade Range is great!. At Windy Lakes during the long summer days highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Windy Lakes plunge into the 20's. A pretty lake like Andy Lake in the vicinity of Windy Lakes                  is a fine spot to take a look at, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Calamut Way. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Amos Lake near Windy Lakes, it's a pretty lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Windy Pass Way. Shelter Cove Resort is a splendid local campground; do pay a visit to Crater Lake National Park while you're here at Windy Lakes.
