All the water falling down from the sky makes Wilkes Reservoir a wet location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go home again. You can run the rapids of Silver Creek close to Wilkes Reservoir, and pleasant hiking is available along the Crabtree       Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Wilkes Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Park Campground is a nice local campground, and don't leave Wilkes Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Snow Peak Mill City Trail. Through the days of summer at Wilkes Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 40's with temperatures                  at Wilkes Reservoir dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Rodeway Inn Sublimity is a magnificent place to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Albany-Lebanon here. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Wilkes Reservoir. You get a brilliant vista of McCully Mountain from Wilkes Reservoir; why not a little side tour to Bear Creek. That right there is a heap of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Thomas Creek. After a long day outdoors Valley Inn Lebanon is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Wilkes Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Taylor Park is a glorious place for that.
