This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Lodge at Suttle Lake is a glorious choice, and close by you come across the Lava Trail which is a good hiking trail. Why not camp at Tombstone Prairie Campground if you're here at Widgeon Lake, and you can hit the slopes at Hoodoo nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Widgeon Lake called the Duffy Lake Trail. All the water       falling down from the sky makes Widgeon Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a fine local campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Marion Creek. Widgeon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. All year is a tremendous time in the Central Cascade Range if you like the outdoors. Get                  yourself into a kayak and hit Santiam River - North, and Fir Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. So many entertaining things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too good to be true. Looking for some flowing water? Try Green Creek, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Turpentine Peak Trail. Be careful coming to Widgeon Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. The top of Turpentine Peak is easily made out from Widgeon Lake, and if you get bored of Widgeon Lake you could also pop by nearby Pika Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Widgeon Lake. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
