If you came for an overnight stay Big Eddy County Park is a delightful spot to camp; a great nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn And Suites Forest Grove. Whiteman Pond is a reasonably wet place regularly with a lot of rainfall; through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. So many enjoyable things to do here at Whiteman Pond, too tremendous to       be true. Near Whiteman Pond you locate Tolke Canyon which is a good site to take a look at, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Nehalem River. Horning's Fishing & Picnic is a pleasant local campground. Lakes are fine; Green Valley Reservoir is a lake that's near Whiteman Pond. After a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn & Suites is a good location to spend a night or two, and obviously Garrigus Creek flows through this area. These                  mountains rock, just explore all the fun things to do in the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek. Summer at Whiteman Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Whiteman Pond are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes. Hofer Pond is a lake in the neighborhood, and close to Whiteman Pond you find a golf course called Quail Valley Golf Course.
