Whetstone Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Whetstone Pond you'll perhaps meet some folks from Medford, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Mount Ashland Trail. The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Siskiyou Mountains. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Military Slough Reservoirs is one of those close by, and a magnificent

| | place to camp here at Whetstone Pond is Jackson County Parks and Rec.
That right there is a load already, but it continues; Whetstone Pond has it all. A round of golf at nearby Cedar Links Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time, and camping at Emigrant Lake is always a great experience. Butte Creek while you're here at Whetstone Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Rogue River offers some splendid whitewater.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Whetstone Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down to
the 40's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Whetstone Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Chicago Trail is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Whetstone Pond,
and skiing at Mt. Ashland is one of those things you just ought to do. La Quinta Inn Suites White City is a great location to get some rest.
This place, the Siskiyou Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. Whitewater paddling
is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Butte Creek. Lakes are good; Cable Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Whetstone Pond. After a long day outdoors Courtyard by Marriott Medford Airport is a
brilliant site to spend a night or two, and nearby you stumble on the Alco Trail which is a delightful hiking trail.
