This lake is so wonderful. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Central Cascade Range is unbeatable! If you came to camp Skookum Lake Campground is a tremendous place to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Collawash River. And that's not all you can do here at Welcome Lakes. Getting to Battle Creek from Welcome Lakes is easy, and don't leave Welcome Lakes without first going for a hike along the

| | Mother Lode Trail. A great close by hotel is Whispering Woods (Vri), and you can go for a hike on the Elk Lake Trail. There are good spots to discover along the Welcome Lakes Trail, and you'll stumble on a lovely lake called West Lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a panorama of Big Slide Mountain from Welcome Lakes, and there's whitewater on Collawash River for all you adrenaline junkies. The Central Cascade Range scenery | |

is always beautiful. Through the warm days of summer here at Welcome Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the
cold winter nights at Welcome Lakes are in the 30's. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Central Cascade Range has to offer. Welcome Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, B and B Rentals is a
good local campground, and if you're here, you could also go to lovely Lake Lenore. A large amount of rain falls at Welcome Lakes; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
