    Welcome Lakes is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This location, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun things. The Welcome Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best; not far from Welcome Lakes you'll discover Big Slide Lake which is a pretty lake. And that's not all you can do here at Welcome Lakes. Hiking along the Mother Lode Trail is great fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Welcome Lakes has to offer, you can camp  
   at Skookum Lake Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range.
A fine place for whitewater paddling near Welcome Lakes is Collawash River, and Detroit Motel is a nice spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Welcome Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, B and B Rentals is a great location for that; dry warm beds await you at All Season's Motel. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Welcome
 
               Lakes, you could pop by Battle Creek, and you can run the rapids of Collawash River.
Welcome Lakes usually gets much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. At Welcome Lakes through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; overnight lows at Welcome Lakes during the winter frequently sink into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Central Cascade Range. Welcome Lakes is right by the Elk Lake Trail; Big Slide Mountain is a peak you can see from Welcome Lakes.
