Warren Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Warren Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Timberlake Campground is a great local campground, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Herman Creek Trail. This       lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Hood River come to Warren Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 23. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hood River - West Fork, and Lancaster Falls is always fun to check out. The peak of Mount Defiance can be seen from Warren Lake; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Wyeth Trail. These mountains rock, just                  explore all the cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Hood River, and why not a little side visit to Cabin Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in close proximity to Warren Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, New Lake is close to Warren Lake. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Hood River - Lake Branch, of course you could also stop at Green Point Lower Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Warren Lake get into the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Warren Lake. A delightful place to camp here at Warren Lake is Wind Mountain Resort, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Cooper Spur while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Columbia River Inn is a brilliant choice.
