Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. At Wallowa Ponds you always meet someone from La Grande; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Bear Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Wallowa Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Nez Perce Trailer and RV Park, and if you want to play some golf, you're in       luck because Alpine Meadows Golf Course is close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Out Post RV Park, and what would a place like Wallowa Ponds be without interesting nearby marks like Alder Slope. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area in the neighborhood of Wallowa Ponds has to offer. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Rama Inn & Suites, and going for a hike along the Copper Creek Trail will let you                  absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Wallowa Ponds typically tend to be in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Wallowa Ponds. At Wallowa Ponds you don’t see much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Wallowa Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. If you get bored of Wallowa Ponds, you could also go to nearby Legore Lake, and a lake nearby is Knights Pond.
