Little Ashes Lake
 | 16 miles away Since the previous post was negative, I was skeptical about fishing there. I sent a couple of hours fishing there at one of the few access spots to see how it fished. I was fortunate enough to land a trout about 27 inches long. Not to bad for a couple hours. Caught using a rooster tail spinner. Gotta give it a try....Little Ashes lake is a medium sized spillway from the Columbia River. There is not much public access to the lake. The lake is boundaried on the southwest side by Highway 14. and all the rest is Private property. No way to launch a boat, but I have float tubed it. There are no trails to hike around this lake. You won't want to swim in it since it is columbia river water. The fishing is unproductive as i fished it and never caught a single bass or trout, only sucker fish and perch. My advice is to just enjoy the sight of this lake, but venturing into it is a waste of time.... |
Sandy Riverfront RV Resort
 | 17 miles away We are on both the Sandy River and Beavercreek with full 58inch hookups, 30/50 amps, all concrete....We stayed at the Sandy River RV Park in July with our 3 grandchildren. We found the park to be clean, quiet, friendly,? very well located, and we would definately return! Although there is no pool, or playground equipment, there is a beautiful river for swimming and wading, hiking trails to explore and nature everywhere. A real hidden gem in the Portland area. We had easy access to everything. Thank you!... |
