Bachelor is rather near. This lake is                  so wonderful. Near Wahanna Lake you hit upon the Crain Prairie Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on McKenzie River - South Fork. Go for a hike on the Twin Peaks Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Horse Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Wahanna Lake has to offer. Wahanna Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Shelter Cove Resort is a wonderful site to camp nearby, and while you're here, you could also have a look at beautiful Fields Lake. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range.
