This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. If you came to camp Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a glorious spot to do that, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Siletz River. So many fun things to do in the Coast Ranges, not sufficient time. Do stop by W O W Log Pond close to WOW Log Pond, it's a wonderful lake, and from WOW Log Pond you obtain a fine vista of Baber Butte. Getting to Eddy Creek from WOW Log

| | Pond is uncomplicated; Embarcadero Resort Hotel & Marina is a great place to get some rest. WOW Log Pond gets a large amount of water; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll adore WOW Log Pond. There's so much to do here at WOW Log Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Big Elk Campground is a brilliant site for that, and Trembley Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. | |

Throughout the summertime at WOW Log Pond highs are usually in the 60's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for WOW Log Pond. There's no way anybody
can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Alsea River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave WOW Log Pond without first going for a hike along the Horse Creek Trail, and if you need a place to stay Yaquina Bay Hotel Toledo is a good choice.

Coyote Rock RV Resort and Marina
 | 18 miles away We'll be back! We loved the location, the setting (as nice or nicer than any nearby state park), the amenities, the hosts and the other campers! We rented a boat twice and really LOVED the crabbing package. Recommend the spots closer to the river :) ... We love this campground and have used it numerous times. Good fishing, good campgrounds and the greatest hosts and employees. Close to shopping, and many things to do. Full hookups and will accomodate larger rv's.... |
Beverly Beach State Park
 | 19 miles away 1 PHOTO ...o us waiting for us to feed them and a beaver carrying a tree limb gave us a real spook!
It was dark and we were trying to find our one and only flashlight and while digging for it in our car, we heard some weird brushing sounds along the roadway and when we found the light and put it to where the noise was coming from, we saw a huge beaver carrying a tree limb off into the forrest. We were so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees while we were drinking our coffee and gather up all their pine cones and cart them off. They were just the cutest little things.
