Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Volstead Reservoir is unbeatable!. At Volstead Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There's pleasant hiking along the Cook Creek Trail; whitewater paddling is good on Grande Ronde River. Good hiking is available along the Howard Cutoff Trail, and dry       warm beds await you at Best Western Rama Inn & Suites. Get wet paddling on Snake River, and Hollow Log Spring is always fun to check out. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Volstead Reservoir. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Volstead Reservoir are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Cottonwood Creek Trail.
