If the weather is good here at Volstead Reservoir, you can go for a hike along                  the Howard Cutoff Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Snake River offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Grande Ronde River in a kayak, and going for a hike along the Cottonwood Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
