View Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. A fine nearby hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake. View Lake ordinarily gets a good deal of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Looking for something close to View Lake? Timber Lake is in the vicinity, and whitewater paddling is great on Collawash River. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling

| | on Marion Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything View Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trout Lake Campground. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hoodoo; the peak of Double Peaks can be seen from View Lake. Lake is one of those nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at View Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lemiti Campground
is a perfect place for that, and the Fish Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. For the duration of the summer months at View Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures during
the winter are normally in the 40's while View Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. So much exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just extraordinary. There's nice hiking along the Cub Creek Trail; on a fine day you can pop by Cornpatch Meadow, a swamp near View Lake.

 | Roundtrip Distance 13.7 miles Elevation Gain 2,348 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
